Terms & Conditions
1. About 7 Wood Golf Networking
7 Wood Golf Networking ("7 Wood", "we", "us", "our") operates monthly, invitation-based golf networking groups for professionals across a number of regions in the United Kingdom. We do not operate outside the UK. Each group is deliberately capped in size to keep it exclusive and meets once a month at a partner golf venue.
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to every person who joins 7 Wood as a paying member ("Member", "you"). By applying for membership and providing payment details, you agree to these Terms.
2. Membership
- Membership is offered on a single tier, called Corporate Membership.
- Each group is deliberately capped at a target number of members, rather than open to unlimited sign-ups, to keep the group selective and maintain the quality and exclusivity of each group.
- Membership entitles you to attend your group's monthly meeting, held at a designated partner golf venue. Complimentary golf is also made available each month in the form of one or more 4-balls, which members share access to across the group — this is not guaranteed as an individual round for every member every month, and allocation may vary, subject to the venue's own booking terms.
- Membership is personal to the individual member and is not transferable to another person without our agreement.
- Acceptance into a group is at our discretion. We reserve the right to decline or limit membership applications once a group reaches its target capacity, or to maintain the quality of each group.
3. Fees & Payment
- The membership fee is £85 + VAT per month, collected by Direct Debit.
- Fees are collected monthly in advance, on a fixed date each month, for as long as your membership continues.
- There is no joining fee.
- We will give you reasonable advance notice, in writing, of any change to the membership fee before it takes effect. Continuing your membership after that notice period constitutes acceptance of the new fee; if you do not agree, you may cancel in line with Section 4 before the change takes effect.
4. No Contract Term & Cancellation
- There is no minimum contract term. Membership runs on a rolling monthly basis.
- You may cancel your membership at any time, for any reason, by giving us written notice (by email is sufficient).
- To cancel ahead of a given month's event and avoid being charged for it, you must give us at least one week's notice before that month's group meeting. Notice given inside that one-week window will take effect from the following month.
- To stop your Direct Debit entirely, you must give us at least 10 days' notice before your next scheduled collection date.
- We do not charge an exit fee or penalty for cancelling.
- Because Direct Debit collects fees in advance for the coming month, fees already collected for a period are not refunded on a pro-rata basis if you cancel partway through that period, except where required by the Direct Debit Guarantee or at our discretion.
- You remain protected at all times by the Direct Debit Guarantee provided by your bank or building society.
5. Guest Attendance & Taster Rounds
- Prospective members may attend a group as a guest before joining, via a Taster Round.
- A Taster Round is subject to a one-off, non-refundable Guest Round fee of £50, payable in advance of attendance.
- Attending a Taster Round does not guarantee an offer of membership, which remains subject to group capacity.
6. Member Conduct
- Members are expected to conduct themselves professionally towards other members, guests and venue staff, both on and off the course.
- We may suspend or terminate a membership, without refund of fees already paid, in cases of serious misconduct, abuse of other members, or repeated breach of these Terms.
7. Cancellation or Changes by 7 Wood
- We may close, relocate, reschedule or restructure a group where reasonably necessary — for example, due to venue availability — and will give members reasonable notice where possible.
- If we permanently close a group and no reasonable alternative group is available to you, we will stop collecting further membership fees from the date the group closes.
8. Data Protection
We collect and process members' personal data (such as name, contact details and payment details) in order to administer membership, process payments and communicate about group meetings. Payment details are processed securely by our Direct Debit payment provider; we do not store full bank account details ourselves. Further detail is set out in our Privacy Policy.
9. Liability
Golf is played at partner venues under those venues' own terms, and members participate at their own risk. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Subject to that, our liability to you in connection with your membership is limited to the fees paid by you in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to how 7 Wood operates. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will give you reasonable notice before it takes effect.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
